I don't know why I never posted this and it's been sitting in my drafts for a month now but nevertheless, you'll definitely enjoy reading this book because its so easy to read and there are diagrams that will help you understand more about the difference between assets and liabilities.
Although this book may not be too detailed, you can still gain a lot of insights from it. Here let me break it down gently.
- I can't afford it vs how can I afford it
One lets you off the hook and the other one forces you to think. I can't afford it = your brain stops working. How can I afford it = your brain is put to work.
" my brain gets stronger every day because i exercise it. The stronger it gets, the more money I can make" I can't afford it was a sign of mental laziness."
- Cogito Ergo Sum
Poor dad = I'll never be rich and the prophecy became reality. Rich dad= I'm a rich man and rich people don't do this (even if he was flat broke)
"There is a difference between being poor and being broke. Broke is temporary. Poor is eternal"
- Be Decisive
- When a circumstance give you a taste of life, move on
If you learn life's lesson, you will do well. If not life will just continue to push you around. Life pushes all of us around. Some people give up and fight. A few learn the lesson and move on. They welcome life pushing them around. To these few people, it means they need and want to learn something. They learn and move on. Most quit and a few fight.
- Keep working, the sooner you forget about needing a paycheck, the easier your adult life will be.
Hardwork=Promotion=Salary Increase
- It's not how much money you make. It's how much money you keep.
- Know the difference between asset and liability.
